Fines issued after underage alcohol sales

Monday brought more fallout from what is known as "Thirsty Thursdays" in Towson. The owners of Kent Lounge and the World of Wine Tavern, both on York Road in Towson, faced the Baltimore County Board of Liquor License Commissioners, admitting one of their staff members sold alcohol to an underage police cadet. The board examined each case and could have suspended or revoked the establishments' licenses, but commissioners instead decided to issue fines, as well as instruct the owners to get more training for their staff members.
