Venezuela government accuses the U.S. of trying to topple its government. While the full scope remains classified, the operations were reportedly part of a strategy to overthrow the Maduro government. The authorization, known as a presidential finding, reportedly allowed the CIA to carry out a range of operations, including potentially lethal operations in Venezuela and the Caribbean.
