A massive fire erupted at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday afternoon, halting all flights and stranding passengers.
The blaze began around 2:15pm in the cargo area near Gate 8, sending thick smoke across the airport. Dozens of firefighting units — including teams from the Fire Service, Air Force and Navy — were deployed to control the inferno.
