The government shutdown standoff appears to be barreling into a third weekend after a 10th vote in the U.S. Senate on a possible spending resolution failed Thursday morning. Thousands of federal employees are still not getting paid as health care remains at the root of the stalemate. The health care fight has been fueling the government shutdown standoff for the past 16 days. The specific debate is over help paying the premiums, in the form of tax credits.
