Sweden SCRAMBLES warships and fighter jets to track Russian submarine floating in Baltic Sea

A Russian submarine entered the Baltic Sea before being tracked by a Swedish navy ship.

The Swedish navy says units and fighter jets met the Russian submarine in Kattegatt and followed it closely.

Sweden’s Armed Forces confirmed the incident on October 14, describing the operation as ‘routine and conducted in coordination with allied forces’.

The Russian submarine passed through the Great Belt, a Danish strait, before it was met by Swedish fighter jets and naval vessels between Denmark and Sweden.
