American Cancer Society's Artist of the Year has Baltimore, Ravens ties

The American Cancer Society has named its first-ever 2025 Artist of the Year, and they just so happen to have ties to Baltimore through Maryland Institute College of Art and the Ravens. The award-winning piece of art was created almost two and a half years ago by Michel Modell. Her husband, David Modell, former president of the Ravens, was diagnosed with lung cancer when their twins were just 6 months old and that is when she put down her paintbrushes.
