Air traffic 'normal' amid government shutdown, BWI-Marshall says

The ongoing federal government shutdown means some essential workers are working without pay. Those essential workers include Transportation Security Administration agents and air traffic controllers. The Federal Aviation Administration said a high number of sickout calls on Monday led to flight cancellations and delays. A Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport representative told 11 News on Tuesday that the airport reports normal operations Monday and Tuesday and referred further questions to the FAA.
