The Baltimore County Police Department is ramping up its enforcement efforts for National Pedestrian Safety Month. Police said in 2024, the Baltimore region saw 76 pedestrians and three bicyclists killed in traffic crashes. More than 180 crashes involving pedestrians happened during the month of October in 2024 — more than any other month of the year.
