11 TV Hill: Putting the government shutdown into economic perspective

Marylanders are hoping for a quick resolution to the ongoing federal government shutdown. Now, four days into the shutdown, it appears there's little to no end in sight. Maryland is home to hundreds of thousands of federal workers and federal jobs. Now, with buildings shut down and employees off the clock — and unpaid — Maryland braces for an economic fallout. So, the state is taking immediate actions to protect affected Marylanders. Darius Irani, the vice president of business and public engagement at Towson University, provides some of the economic perspective.
