Extreme weather hits Bulgaria! Elenite and Sveti Vlas devastated by unprecedented flood

Heavy rain and strong winds on Friday caused extensive damage in Burgas and its surrounding areas. Heavy flooding hit the holiday villages of Elenite and Sveti Vlas on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast.

Two fire brigade teams from Nessebar, one from Pomorie, divers, and a special amphibious unit, including one from Varna, were immediately deployed. In Tsarevo, the damage from the storm was extensive.
