Maryland congressional delegation reacts to shutdown

The U.S. Senate continued voting on spending resolutions on Wednesday, but the House of Representatives was not in session. Many of Maryland's Democratic U.S. House members went to work in Washington, D.C. anyway. They held a press conference calling on their GOP colleagues to come to the table and start negotiating to stop the shutdown. The press conference took place amid a fresh round of spending votes in the United States Senate on the first day of the government shutdown.
