Tropical Weather Impact: Two new storms trying to form in Atlantic

The National Hurricane Center is tracking two new disturbances, labeled Invests 93 and 94. Invest 94 is stretched out over the northern Lesser Antilles, while Invest 93 sits farther east in the Atlantic with a high chance of development. Both systems are showing up strongly on the ensemble models.

Currently, Invest 94 appears more likely to track closer to Florida and the Southeast U.S. coast, while Invest 93 may remain offshore but could still bring impacts to Bermuda. Either way, both could become named storms heading into the weekend and early next week, adding to the tally before the end of September. At this point, neither poses a threat to the Gulf.

Gabrielle remains a powerful Category 4 hurricane this afternoon as it quickly moves east and away from Bermuda. It will likely approach the Azores as a hurricane on Friday.

Nothing being hinted at in the NW Caribbean or Gulf through the start of October.
