Fury as dinghy migrant given asylum in UK goes on eight week HOLIDAY back to Afghanistan

The Home Office is investigating a small boat migrant after he appeared to celebrate getting refugee status in Britain – by going on holiday to Afghanistan.

The man, known as Usama online, arrived on a dinghy in 2022 and made a claim for asylum on the grounds his home city of Kabul was too dangerous.

But videos he posted online show he appeared to celebrate his legal status with an eight week jaunt in July 2024, travelling 5,000 miles to his home city of Kabul.

He later posted videos of his plane trip back from his home city through Dubai, writing alongside the video: “Back to UK.”

Last night the Home Office launched an urgent investigation into the videos and the man’s status in the UK.
