An Anne Arundel County judge dismissed an indictment against two police corporals who were charged with misconduct in office. Anne Arundel County Police Cpls. Eddie Vasquez and Kieran Schnell were indicted in December 2024 and were assigned to desk duty since. The officers were indicted in connection with a mileslong, high-speed, unauthorized pursuit in Pasadena that ended in a fatal crash on Dec. 7, 2023. A passenger in the car Damione Gardner, 22, of Baltimore, died. The driver, Meziah Johnson, survived and was found guilty of negligent manslaughter and other charges.
