I really wanted to love the new Winx Club reboot. I grew up on the original sparkle and sisterhood, so this Winx Club reboot review hurts a bit. In this video I’m honest about what didn’t work for me: the tone shift away from magical-girl charm, flat writing, weird pacing, and character redesigns (Bloom especially) that lose the silhouettes and personality the original nailed. I also talk about the animation/direction feeling more generic than magical — and the actual potential this reboot had if a few creative choices landed differently.
