The legendary A-10 Warthogs are officially gone from Maryland. State officials joined past and present National Guard brass for a deactivation ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate the legacy of the 175th Wing with mixed emotions. Officials expressed anger, frustration and deep pride. Troops hailed the A-10 as the most distinguished, effective and lethal support weapon in a war zone.
