Scientific researchers question officials about potential budget cuts

Proposed budget cuts to public health research could have a significant impact on Maryland. Scientific researchers from the National Institutes of Health, Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland voiced their concerns about the Trump administration's proposed federal budget cuts that could impact research, jobs and the state economy. A town hall held Saturday at the Parkway Theatre in Baltimore offered a chance for community members to try to get some answers from U.S. Sen. Angela Alsobrooks, D-Maryland, Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman and Baltimore City Councilwoman Phylicia Porter, D-District 10.
