Howard County police charged a Virginia man with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of his fiancée in Ellicott City. Rondale Dickerson, 34, of Mappsville, Virginia, was charged with first- and second-degree murder, assault and home invasion in the fatal stabbing of Shelaya Broadwater, 44, in her Ellicott City apartment, county police announced Friday. Police said officers were called around 3:06 p.m. Thursday to an apartment in the 3100 block of West Springs Drive.
