The city of Annapolis on Monday unveiled another tribute to the victims of The Capital Gazette mass shooting in 2018. A new highway marker on Rowe Boulevard near Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is dedicated to the "Capital Gazette Five." It commemorates the lives of Gerald Fischman, Rob Hiaasen, John McNamara, Rebecca Smith and Wendi Winters. Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley said the spot was specifically sought out as nearly everyone who drives into downtown Annapolis will see it.
