Lucy Powell and Ian Murray to leave following resignation of Angela Rayner

Lucy Powell, who has served as leader of the House of Commons since the general election, has been sacked, our political editor Beth Rigby reports.

And Ian Murray, the Scotland secretary, is also leaving the government, Beth reports.

These are the first cabinet ministers that we understand are leaving government since the reshuffle was confirmed after Angela Rayner quit.
