This is the first episode of our Gujarat–Dang Series. Our journey from Jambughoda, which is 80 km from Vadodara We stayed at the Jambughoda Palace, which will be featured in our BTS episode on Harish Bali Travels.
In this series, we’ll take you from Jambughoda to Ekta Nagar (Kevadia), famous for the Statue of Unity and the many tourist spots around it. From there, we’ll explore the stunning beauty of the Dang region, which transforms into lush greenery during the monsoon. Many seasonal waterfalls come alive here — some so hidden that even locals of Gujarat aren’t aware of them. All these episodes will come over a 5 part Gujarat series.
Our journey will then take us to Saputara, the only hill station of Gujarat, before concluding in Surat.
In this Episode 1, you’ll see our monsoon journey from Jambughoda to Ekta Nagar, filled with heritage sites, scenic drives, and the magic of Gujarat in the rains.

Saat Kamaan - “Seven Arches”, is a striking historical structure located in Pavagadh, Gujarat, within the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Pavagadh Temple - It is also known as the Kalika Mata Temple, is one of the 51 Sati Peeth Temples of India located on the hilltop of Pavagadh Hill within the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali (Kalika Mata).
One needs to climb nearly 2,000 steps or can take the ropeway to reach the shrine,
Ropeway can be booked in advance online, offline it is weekend, then you need to wait for your turn to come, after ropeway, there are about 200 steps to reach the temple.
Dhanpuri - Eco Tourism (Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary) - We had lunch here, per person Lunch Charges - Rs 150, one needs to inform them in advance for Lunch.

Kada Dam - It is a peaceful reservoir near Rajpipla, surrounded by lush greenery and hills. During the monsoon, the water level rises, making it a scenic spot to enjoy calm views and the natural beauty of Gujarat. This is about 2 km from Dhanpuri Eco Tourism.
Shri Raveecha Garden Restaurant - we took a halt here for tea, we tried the Bhadla - Rs 100 per plate
Sankheda - We want to visit this village because it has earned one of the GI (Geographical Identification) tag for beautiful wooden artwork. The craft, known as Sankheda furniture, is over 400 years old and is recognized by its bright colors, hand-painted designs, and polished lacquer finish.

Swaminarayan Poicha Temple (Nilkanthdham) - situated on the banks of the sacred Narmada River, is one of Gujarat’s most magnificent spiritual landmarks. The temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan and is famous for its grand architecture, intricate carvings, and beautifully maintained gardens.
Shri Harsiddhi Mata Temple in Rajpipla is a revered shrine dedicated to Goddess Harsiddhi, considered a form of Goddess Durga. Nestled amidst natural surroundings, the temple is a popular spiritual stop for devotees, offering peace, devotion, and scenic views — especially beautiful during the monsoon.
