A cloudy start with outbreaks of rain for Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England, but the rain becoming increasingly confined to the Highlands and islands of northern Scotland. Largely fine to start the day elsewhere, with lengthy spells of sunshine and any early mist and fog patches lifting.
