🌱 Moong Bean Sesame Ladoo
This super nutritious and healthy Moong Bean Sesame Ladoo can be enjoyed anytime, in any season. 🌱💛 Especially for kids, it’s a wonderful way to add the goodness of moong beans to their diet — a small, sweet, and wholesome treat.
On this special day, I offer these nutritious ladoos to my little Lala Krishna 🙏💙🌿
Ingredients:
• 1 cup whole moong beans (green gram)
• 15 cashews
• 2 tbsp sesame seeds
• 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
• ¼ cup (4 tbsp) ghee
• ¼ cup jaggery powder (adjust to taste)
• ½ tsp cardamom powder
Method:
• Wash and rinse 1 cup of whole moong beans.
• Dry them completely.
• Roast in a pan on medium heat until aromatic.
• Cool, blend into a fine powder, and sieve to remove any coarse particles.
• In a pan, roast 15 cashews, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, and 1 tbsp sunflower seeds until fragrant.
• Cool and grind into a fine powder.
• Mix this with the moong bean powder.
• Heat ¼ cup (4 tbsp) ghee in a pan on low heat.
• Add the moong bean–nut mixture.
• Cook slowly until it turns fluffy and well roasted.
• Remove from heat and transfer to a mixing bowl.
• Add ¼ cup jaggery powder (adjust to taste) and ½ tsp cardamom powder.
• Mix everything thoroughly.
• While the mixture is warm, grease your palms with a little ghee.
• Shape into ladoos.
• Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
• Keeps well for 15–20 days.
