Agreement allows BPD to train at National Guard firing range

An agreement has been struck that will allow the Baltimore Police Department to use the Gunpowder Military Reservation firing range for training, 11 News Investigates has learned. As 11 News Investigates reported in July, negotiations between the Maryland National Guard and city police have dragged on for more than a year. The MDNG, which subleases some of the property to police, ordered a ceasefire in March 2024, citing safety concerns.
