Prosecutors said a man on board a Maryland Transit Administration bus shot and killed another passenger who bumped into him. James Richburg, 62, is on trial on a murder charge in the Nov. 30, 2024, killing of William Womack, 30. Richburg on Wednesday took the stand in his own defense, telling jurors he feared for his life and that Womack was acting angry and erratic. Richburg testified that Womack bumped into him while reaching over to pick up a dropped bottle.
