A new lawsuit was filed Monday over the Dali cargo ship. Grace Ocean Private, the Dali's operator, sued Hyundai over the ship's manufacturing, alleging the ship's switchboard had design flaws. According to the lawsuit, those flaws allowed the ship to lose connections during normal operations. The lawsuit claims this caused the Dali to crash into the Francis Scott Key Bridge on March 26, 2024. A National Transportation Safety Board report noted the control circuit stopped working on the night of the bridge crash and collapse.
