Bill would create security camera registry

A bill under consideration in Baltimore County would create a voluntary security camera registration program. Councilman Julian Jones, D-District 4, said his bill would allow residents to register their security or a doorbell cameras with the police department so that investigators can know who has a camera near where a crime or incident occurs in order to determine whether any related evidence is captured on video. Jones said it's meant to help police find surveillance video more quickly.
