The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado briefly came ashore during Thursday's storms. The weather service said a waterspout formed over Spa Creek passed briefly as an EF-0 tornado over the Severn Sailing Association's marina at the northernmost point of Eastport before moving back over the mouth of the Severn River as a waterspout. The weather service said the tornado started around 2:46 p.m. with an estimated peak wind speed of 65 mph and its path lasted for about a tenth of a mile with a width of 25 yards.
