Baltimore high school students are using their job readiness skills in a fun and unique way — and their efforts could turn into one-of-a-kind gifts. Handmade pieces created by students ages 14-24 are on display at HeARTwares on 36th Street in Hampden, including a specialty item — a crab artwork — that will be featured at the upcoming "Shop and Bop" event. The event also offers the chance to meet students who will be working as HeARTwares employees. The program is part of Heartworks, a job training and life skills initiative.
