Baltimore police officers are using new tools to learn how to handle complicated situations. As technology advances, so does police training. 11 News Investigates went behind the scenes with city police to see firsthand how officers handle potential use-of-force encounters and keep an eye out for people who may have a weapon. For the officers, body-worn cameras can help explain the situations they encounter on the streets. However, to better prepare for reality, Baltimore police are using virtual reality tools — like headsets and video screens — as well as interactive scenarios.
