Maryland is expanding agricultural services by adding six state agencies — including education and labor — to support farmers. Agriculture is one of Maryland's largest industries, and as such, the expansion of the Governor's Intergovernmental Commission for Agriculture is intended to strengthen partnerships and better promote the needs of farmers. The goal is to develop solutions to better support farmers in Maryland, from sustainability to how they sell their products.
