An Anne Arundel County judge on Monday denied bond for a church pastor and former schoolteacher charged with child sex abuse. William Jones, 58, of Gambrills, was arrested Friday and charged with 21 counts, including sexual abuse of a minor, third- and fourth-degree sex offenses, and assault. Jones, a pastor at Jessup Baptist Church, is accused of inappropriately touching students in his care at Elvaton Christian Academy in Millersville, where he was a teacher from 2020 until March 27, according to a court charging document obtained by 11 News. The alleged incidents were reported to have taken place in the school's computer room, where Jones taught. Five alleged victims were between the ages of 7 and 13 at the time of the alleged incidents.
