This summer and next year, Baltimore Gas & Electric bills will slightly increase. However, PJM's power auction will bring some relief to utilities next year. PJM operates Maryland's regional power system, and its energy rates are rising. Results from the energy auction could increase rates year over year by as much as 5% for all the states PJM operates in.
