Meteorologist Dalencia Jenkins says we are in an Alert Day due to the heat advisory in Maryland. Temps will be in the high 90s with the heat index reaching well over 100 degrees. There is also a chance for an isolated thunderstorm starting in the afternoon. The weekend will be hot with chances of rain each day heading into next week.
