Some of the most enduring images come from Camp Mystic, where counselors and young campers at the Christian summer camp were among those killed in flooding from a storm. Although more than 1,500 miles away from Texas Hill Country, the disaster resonated with camps in Maryland. Like Camp Mystic, River Valley Ranch in Carroll County is near a river. In an interview with 11 News, the camp's director assured parents their children are safe. With this tragedy affecting young children, parents are no doubt fielding questions from their kids about what's happening — especially those attending overnight summer camps. Earlier this week, 11 TV Hill spoke with a therapist about how to best navigate these conversations.
