'Power the Pantry: Summer Edition Food Drive' aims to fight hunger

While many Marylanders enjoy the summer season, thousands of our neighbors in Harford County are quietly facing a different reality — hunger. More than 10,000 people in the community are in need of food, and that number continues to grow. But there's a way you can help. The Harford County Action Agency is holding its "Power the Pantry: Summer Edition Food Drive" to collect canned food donations at Klein's Family Market stores. The drive is also collecting monetary donations, and as of Friday, they're at 75% to their $20,000 goal. WBAL-TV is a proud media sponsor. Sarah Klein, of Klein's Family Markets, and P.J. Craig, the CEO of the Harford County Action Agency, explain the extent of the need.
