Observing the Combat AI in Stalker 2 | PATCH 1.4.2

Can Monolithians really see through walls? Do bandits cheeki breeki? Is the combat AI completely broken in Stalker 2? Here we put some NPCs to the test and observe their behavior under different scenarios with the player. Let me know in the comments if you want me to try something specific.

All footage was recorded on version 1.4.2 on veteran difficulty.

I demonstrate a few of the strengths and weaknesses of the AI when fighting the player. We can observe the AI:
- flanking
- taking cover
- suppressing
- guessing where enemies might be

However, we also see:
- questionable behavior when taking cover
- inhumanly fast reactions
- potentially seeing through walls?

Of course, there are many other situations where different patterns and bugs emerge. I did not test combat in forested areas or areas with sparse cover, fighting mutants, or fighting other stalkers.
