President HICHILEMA signs book of condolence

By Joy Nyambe

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has advised politicians not to use the funeral of sixth President EDGAR LUNGU as an opportunity to open wounds and start battles.

President HICHILEMA says now is not the right time for politicking as people are grieving.

He says being political competitors does not make people enemies.

President HICHILEMA said this after signing in the book of condolence at Belvedere Lodge in Lusaka today.

He said the former president should be mourned with respect, adding that dignity is an obligation that all human beings must carry.

The President said it is unacceptable to be opportunists and start driving wedges against each other.
