A band of rain will continue to work its way across southern and central England, clearing for the most part by late morning. This is quickly tracked by a barrage of showers, heavy at times, with hail, lightning and thunder possible. Southern England will see the worst of these showers, however the majority of the UK, bar perhaps the far northwestern of Scotland will see frequent downpours throughout the morning and into the afternoon. There is a Yellow warning in place for thunderstorms which covers the following areas: East Midlands, East of England, London & South East England, South West England, Wales and the West Midlands.
