The final trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth has arrived. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, this next chapter of Universal Pictures' Jurassic World franchise goes back to the beginnings of the Jurassic Park action movies to discover new horrors like never before. It takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. In it, a team is seeking DNA from three of the biggest dinosaurs ever created: Mosasaurus, Titanosaurus, and Quetzalcoatlus to potentially create a medical breakthrough. This film has a whole new generation of characters with a new lineup of mutant dinosaurs like the D Rex and old favorites like Raptor.
The new Jurassic World Rebirth trailer features new footage of the Mutadon ambush scene and the T Rex river chase from Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park. Other scenes from the first trailer for Jurassic World 4 are also included. Jonathan Bailey and Scarlett Johansson can be seen portraying their characters for the scene in which they try to steal DNA from a hidden dinosaur egg.
Jurassic World: Rebirth will introduce a storyline in which the dinosaurs can no longer live healthy lives in the Earth's environment. In order to save the creatures from going extinct once again, Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) and Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) will lead a mission to retrieve DNA from the three biggest creatures from the island of rejects InGen left behind. The biggest problem they will encounter is a new hybrid lurking in the shadows called the D Rex. Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, David Iacono, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ed Skrein and Luna Blaise also star in Jurassic World Rebirth as Duncan Kincaid. The character will lead Zora's team before she gets lost in the jungle with Dr. Loomis.
Jurassic World Rebirth could mark the start of a new era for the franchise. A decade before the release of the new sequel, Jurassic World introduced Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) as the new heroes who showed the world that dinosaurs still ruled over the global box office. Universal Pictures cast Jonathan Bailey for the next Jurassic adventure after working with the actor in the Wicked movies. And after becoming a Marvel Cinematic Universe icon, Scarlett Johansson returns to major action movies thanks to the release of Jurassic World Rebirth.
The planet will find out if Jurassic World 4 can become the fourth straight movie from the franchise to earn more than $1 billion at the global box office when it roars into theaters on July 2.
