There’s a lot packed into today’s episode... so buckle up.
We’re starting off with some metal finishing on the custom sedan delivery panel. Chad’s trying a new technique using a metal slapper, while Colton gets inside the curve with a dolly to help shape things from the inside. It’s all about smoothing out the imperfections and dialing in that finish.
Next, we’re switching gears to the Volvo hood. Colton’s done a killer job on the bodywork, and it’s looking straight and clean, so it’s time to lay down the first coat of primer.
Then it’s back to the ’34 Ford, where we’re prepping the other side to apply the second panel. This time, we’re switching up the approach. Now that we’ve learned what works (and what doesn’t) from the first side, we’re adapting our process for a better outcome.
That’s what custom work is really about... figuring it out as you go, learning with each move, and evolving the plan in real time.
