Several Maryland communities are trying to find funding because some federal dollars are no longer flowing for flood prevention efforts. One of the areas impacted is Baltimore City, where officials already know they're no longer getting the federal funding they expected. Resilience or recovery work continues as part of a flood mitigation project to create and restore marshlands in South Baltimore. Machinery was still moving Friday along South Hanover Street at the Patapsco River near MedStar Harbor Hospital and the Brooklyn community.
