Authorities arrested the man wanted in connection with last year's fatal shooting of a teenager inside The Mall in Columbia, Howard County police announced Thursday afternoon. Howard County Police Chief Gregory Der said a lead received this week, generated from the release of a new video, informed authorities that William "Junior" Thomas Marshall III, 18, was staying at an apartment in New York City. Der said officers, U.S. Marshals and NYPD officers went to the location Wednesday night and arrested Marshall at 6:30 a.m. County police said Marshall awaits an extradition process back to Maryland. Police said detectives believe Marshall killed Angelo Little, 17, in a targeted shooting at the mall's food court on July 27, 2024.
