Baltimore City is getting a new unit to crack down on nuisance crimes. The Neighborhood Services Unit will work out of the sheriff's office and target high-traffic areas like Fells Point and Federal Hill. Fells Point businesses have high hopes for the new unit. Some specialized enforcement is already underway, but it won't be fully operational until the law takes effect in October.
