A person was injured Tuesday morning in a boat explosion in Shady Side, fire officials said. Anne Arundel County fire officials told 11 News that crews were called around 9:30 a.m. to the 4800 block of Woods Wharf Road for a possible boat explosion. Firefighters did not find a fire, but did find a victim who was on the boat at the time of the explosion. Paramedics evaluated the victim for possible burns; no update was provided on the person's condition. Anne Arundel County fire officials are investigating a cause.
