I transformed all Windows sounds into Windows XP!

The reason for my long absence is that I'm working on a transformation: I'm turning the Windows sounds into a style that resembles the sounds of Windows XP. This turned out to be much more complicated than I thought, because the original Windows XP sound design is like a full orchestral part, where each instrument has to find its place in the harmony. Not only did I have to bring the instruments together, but I had to give them the vibrancy that is felt in the original.

I want to pay special tribute to Bill Brown, the composer whose music for Windows XP has been my guiding light in this project. His talent lies not just in creating background music, but in his ability to bring every sound to life so that it becomes part of our digital everyday lives. Thanks to his skill, even simple interface sounds have become part of the cultural heritage.

The video editing work was also challenging. I hand-drew most of the elements in an effort to capture the spirit of the time. Some parts I adapted from existing ones, but much of it was modified and reworked so that the original and new elements harmonised. The animation of the cursor was particularly labour intensive - it took long hours of work to make each of its steps look natural and smooth.

The idea for this video belongs to a member of my server, pernya. He suggested me to make a representation of Windows sound transformation through XP Tour, and although I had other ideas, I found his suggestion interesting and decided to realise it.
