Izzy Norgaard, a lifeguard at Merritt Clubs Canton, was filling in for a friend on the rooftop pool deck when Friday's storm and all its fury tore the place apart. Norgaard told 11 News she kept her cool and stayed focused. She had to get a reluctant crowd on the pool deck to evacuate. Soon, a portion of the gym's roof blew off. Norgaard and several of her co-workers were still on the roof, huddled in a small closet and facing a difficult choice to take the elevator down or run to the stairs on the opposite side.
