Reparations study bill among several vetoes

Gov. Wes Moore vetoed dozens of bills in Annapolis on Friday, including the reparations study. In an accompanying letter, Moore said he feels that now is not the time for another study, and instead the time for continued action that delivers results. Moore said enough studies have already taken place on the impacts of slavery in Maryland, and he will now continue working to uplift the Black community by supporting Black businesses, Historically Black Colleges and Universities and making up for previous policies that discriminated against Black people.
