Volunteers are working in Carroll County to rehabilitate and find homes for abused and abandoned horses. When Max first arrived at the nonprofit Maryland Horse Rescue in Westminster, the horse was in pretty bad shape. Max has since been nursed back to health and is living the life on the rescue's 45-acre farm on Cross Section Road in Westminster.
