Iran unveiled a new solid-fuel ballistic missile called "Qassem Bassir," on Sunday (May 4) which has a range of 1,200 km (750 miles), Iranian state media reported.
Following the missile introduction, Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iranian defence minister, told the reporter that in case of an attack, Iran is ready to respond with "strength".
Iran has "no hostility toward neighbouring countries," but U.S. bases in the region will be considered targets by Tehran, Nasirzadeh added.
